About the Recreational Resources Committee
The Recreational Resources Committee plays a vital role in overseeing and enhancing the township’s recreational facilities. This committee is responsible for managing Almira Township’s parks, which include Ransom Lake Natural Area, Almira Township Park, Almira Township Lakefront Park, and other community spaces. Their tasks involve assessing community recreational needs, making improvements, and maintaining park amenities. Additionally, they work on projects related to park infrastructure, such as the planning and upgrading of playground equipment and the reservation management for park pavilions.
The committee consists of appointed members who regularly meet to discuss ongoing projects and proposals that promote community well-being through recreation. Community members can contact the township office if they are interested in volunteering for open committee positions or learning more about the committee’s initiatives
