About Fire & EMS
Serving Almira Township and the Village of Lake Ann since 1951, ATFEMS is a combination fire department and basic life support ambulance service.
Effective 9/18/2025 ATFEMS is operating under the Michigan Bennett Bill, allowing our ambulance to upgrade to advanced life support when a Paramedic is on duty.
Coverage
The station is staffed 24/7 through a combination of paid-on-call, part-time, and full-time personnel.
Day Shift (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM):
A two-person, dual-trained duty crew is on-site.
Night Shift (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM):
One dual-trained staff member is on-site, supported by paid-on-call personnel as needed.
Visitors are Welcome
During business hours the station is open to residents or visitors to come and check out the station, or you can also get your blood pressure and glucose checked free of charge. It is a good idea to call first to make sure the duty crew is not out on an emergency call.
