Due to an incorrect millage rate being placed on your tax bill (and any tax bill county-wide) the original yellow tax bill you received was in error. The good news is your new amount will be lower than the original amount. You will be receiving a new, revised bill in the mail soon. It will be light green in color, instead of yellow. If your taxes are escrowed, I have contacted all the mortgage companies I work with to halt withdrawals from escrow accounts until I get them the corrected amounts. I ask that if you pay your taxes directly to me, to please refrain until you get the revised bill. You can also contact the office for an amount if you’d like to pay it before getting the new bill. Refunds are currently being issued to anyone who has already paid.
